Our Story
CRODE was founded in 2022 by Roberta Cocozza, a young designer with a deep passion for fashion and art. Since childhood, Roberta dreamed of becoming a fashion designer, turning newspaper pages into dresses and bags—driven by a raw, instinctive creativity.
After earning a degree in Fashion Design and a brief experience in the industry, she decided to create a brand that truly reflected her personal vision: authentic, sustainable, and meaningful.
The name CRODE blends crochet and node—two key elements of traditional craftsmanship. Each bag is handmade, using upcycled yarns and recovered fabrics, giving forgotten materials a new life. The result: unique, unrepeatable, and beautifully imperfect pieces, each with its own story of transformation.
The Berlin Bag, CRODE’s first creation, was born from months of experimentation. It remains the brand’s aesthetic and conceptual manifesto. At its core is the idea of reconstruction: like a mended heart, textile scraps are gathered, reassembled, and reborn as meaningful objects.
Roberta’s creative process is deeply intuitive. It might begin with a vintage garment, a strand of thread, or the texture of a fabric. Every bag is a spontaneous exploration—where artisanal technique meets a raw aesthetic and punk spirit, always with a meticulous eye for detail and quality.
